SIG celebrates World Menopause Day

As part of World Menopause Day, SIG launched a new menopause policy for their employees which better supports people directly and indirectly affected by menopause. The policy and communications detailed what support is available and the responsibilities of line managers in this important area.

SIG has put in place Menopause Champions who are trained by a third party to help support and guide employees affected by menopause.

One of SIG’s Menopause Champions, Claire Hoskins, had a very positive message to share:

“You might think menopause has nothing to do with you, but the reality is that someone you know – whether a friend, colleague, or family member could be experiencing symptoms.”

“As a manager or team leader, understanding these signs and knowing how to approach a conversation can make a world of difference.”

“Just like with mental health, we need to break the stigma around menopause, encourage open conversations, and ensure that support is accessible to those who need it.”

“Over the past year, I’ve received calls and emails from both sides, which is incredibly encouraging. Let’s keep this momentum going!”
