Louise Allison is a First Year Engineering Apprentice, at Knauf Immingham Plant.
Reflecting on what attracted her to a role in the Construction/Building materials Industry, Louise says: “I was interested in the industry because of the hands-on work, and the wide variety in the work that I will be doing when completing different jobs around the site.”
Discovering issues to fix is a top highlight for Louise in her role: “In my role, I enjoy being able to solve challenges and problems that I come across during my jobs.”
Her advice for other women who are thinking about applying for an Apprenticeship in the construction/Building Materials Industry is: “I would say to other females who want to apply for an apprenticeship in this industry that they should stay persistent and focus on their individual strengths.”
