Travis Perkins, one of our Strategic Partner, shares their vision to grow their DE&I strategy, underpinned by six internal networks which focus on ‘belonging moments’ for all.
At Travis Perkins Group, our vision is to cultivate a culture of belonging where everyone can be their authentic selves. We believe that when our people feel valued, supported, and empowered, they bring their best selves to work. This commitment drives the diversity of thought that fuels innovation and change so we build a sustainable future that is diverse and inclusive. Our motto, “You be you, it makes us, us!” encapsulates this belief.
To achieve our vision, we have developed a comprehensive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Strategy.
Our DE&I strategy is underpinned by these six networks; each driven by passionate and dedicated colleagues from across our businesses and sponsored by one of our Group Leadership Team members:

Our networks focus on creating safe spaces to connect, driving positive change for good, and raising awareness and educating ourselves and those around us.
To support our focus on raising awareness and education, the networks have come together to develop a calendar of Belonging Moments that play a pivotal role in educating our people about diversity and inclusion, and help bring the strategy to life by demonstrating progress, educating and raising awareness, celebrating differences, and driving engagement.
From International Women’s Day, Mental Health Awareness Week to International Youth Day, each of these Moments include a multichannel programme of internal and external communications to inform, involve, and inspire colleagues. These initiatives have helped to break down barriers and foster a more inclusive workplace culture where everyone can feel they belong.
By focusing on personal stories and experiences, Belonging Moments have become a powerful tool for education and engagement.
